We caught up with Finnish JPO Tomi Lounio who recently joined the UNDP Regional Service Centre for Africa (RSCA) in Addis Ababa as a Programme Analyst for UNDP’s work on the human rights of persons with disabilities.
Dalal Abdul-Razzaq is a JPO funded by the Government of Kuwait. Dalal began her JPO assignment as a Programme Analyst with the UNDP JPO Service Centre in Copenhagen in 2015. We spoke to Dalal about her experiences as a JPO to date and asked her for some of her lessons learned to share with other JPOs.

JPO Service Centre
The JPO Service Centre administers the Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Programme and the Special Assistant to the UN Resident Coordinator (SARC) Programme.
These programmes provide young professionals pursuing a career in development with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in multilateral technical cooperation and international development within a UN agency.
