About the JPO Service Centre
The UNDP JPO Service Centre (JPOSC) provides client-focused services to JPOs, SARCs, partner governments, UN country offices and a number of UN organizations.
For the UNDP and UN Women JPO Programmes, the JPO Service Centre acts as the focal point with partner countries, country offices, and fellow JPOs on day-to-day human resources matters, including recruitment, placement, reassignment and end of service, as well as on a variety of financial and administrative issues.
For JPOs of other UN Organizations (UNAIDS, UNFPA, UNIDO, UNOPS, UNRWA, WHO) the JPO Service Centre is responsible for the day-to-day management of human resources matters, from assignment to separation.
By delegating the entitlement administration of their JPOs to the JPO Service Centre, partner UN Organizations gain time and efficiency, allowing them to focus on more strategic activities, such as resource mobilisation and donor relationships.
In addition to the cost-competitive and efficient entitlement management of JPOs, the JPO Service Centre supports partners through additional key services:
- Learning and career management initiatives such as JPO/SARC workshops and a mentoring programme
- Dynamic networking activities on social platforms and the JPO Alumni
Association with over 2,400 members
- Dedicated online services, including a trilingual website, an e-recruitment system, and electronic appointment packages
